ロリーナ・マッケニットの歌はどれも不思議な懐かしさを感じさせるが、特にこの歌は身震いがして涙が出そうになる。

イエス・キリストの誕生の話で、東方から来た3賢人などについて語っている。

たぶん私は自分の家と呼べる場所を見つけることができるかもしれない。

私にとって人生とは、結局は自分の居場所、落ち着ける我が家(ホーム)、を捜し求める旅だった。
家族、学校、職場・・・全てが私には居心地が悪かった。だから職も家も各地を転々としてきた。
退職して、今の場所がようやく居心地いい場所に感じられた。
ある心理学者によると、人間はみんな子宮回帰を求めているらしい・・・
つまり、生まれる前の母親の胎内にいた心地よさを記憶していて、そこに帰りたいのだ、と〜〜〜
そんな気持ちをこの歌に感じる。
それか・・・、私はある過去生でヨーロッパのケルト色の強い所に生きていたのかもしれない。
その記憶が蘇っているのか・・・・

「ダニエル物語」13世紀の典礼劇、というだけで詳しいことはよく知らないが、中世の音楽でありながら、この現代的なビート感が不思議な魅力を持って惹きつける。
初めて聴いた時は衝撃だった！
もう10年以上前、この音楽を知ったきっかけは、たまたま見たNHKの番組から。劇の途中から見たが、その宗教性に惹かれ、タイトルを覚えていたが、その後、レコード芸術という雑誌の中で、これのCDが紹介されていて、さっそく購入した。

吉松 隆「プレイアデス舞曲集」田部京子
かなり前、音楽雑誌でこのCDを知り、単純にジャケットが気に入って買ったら、とても大好きになった！作曲家吉松 隆のピアノ曲をピアニスト田部京子が演奏している。
吉松氏によると、特に何かのためにではなく、ただ自分のために断片的に作ったものらしい〜 その美しさは宝石のよう・・・
